Church from a Visitor's Perspective

The following link is the last in a series of online articles about what it’s like to visit a church for the first time from a website called Church Marketing Sucks.

The link to the independent Seattle newspaper article is especially interesting.

READ IT. It’s worth the time investment. I apologize in advance for the jaded views and profanity used by some of the writers. But I think it provides important insights. These writers are probably not your average church visitor, but they do represent a sizable group that’s growing not only in Seattle but also in Bangkok and in many other cities around the world. The fears, misperceptions and overall cynicism of the reporters are worth thinking about.

Almost none of the reporters left their respective churches with a positive experience. What would it have taken to make a positive impression on some of these reporters? What would it have taken for them to see the beautiful Jesus that I know and love?
