A brush with CSI Bangkok
I spent the afternoon in a hospital room in Bangkok with a couple that I met a few weeks ago at church. Towards the end of the visit, they pulled flip flops out of the closet and told me that those flip flops had been used in a CSI style investigation to figure out what kind of tear gas was used a week and a half ago on protesters. They exploded various kinds of tear gas cannisters near a variety of similar sandals to figure out exactly what happened.
There was tear gas bomb residue all over the sandal. Kind of scary. I think the question is... why such bad injuries from tear gas? How's that for exciting stuff. Pray for them and for her recovery.
It also looks like more violence erupting on the Thai/Cambodia. Lots of troupes. Big guns. Mortars. Why in the world would these two countries be at the brink of war right now? Un-be-lieve-able.
