If you don't look for God, you likely won't find Him

Here's a link to Sunday's sermon.

There were a number of things that happened yesterday to give thanks for. First of all - I know this SHOULDN'T alter my mood, but despite the fact that LOTS of our regulars were gone yesterday, we had reasonable attendance at BOTH worship services. We were well off our regular crowd, but well above what I expected. Some English speaking churches in Bangkok canceled worship for 26 December and 2 January figuring it wasn't worth it. Everyone was traveling. Well it WAS worth it. God was glorified and His people met to do it.

* I DO find John 1:10 and 11 very sad. How can you not? And the saddest thing is that it is STILL going on. Not because God isn't present or revealing himself, but more often than not because we aren't keeping our eyes and ears open for the right stuff.
* Every time I make fun of someone (or a group of people) in church, it comes back to haunt me. Fortunately the folks from rural SC in our evening worship had a great sense of humor. :)
* So... how have you seen God active in your life in 2010?
* AND ... how do you plan (and planning is key) to make sure you are diligently pursuing God in 2011. Because if you don't PURSUE Him, you will likely miss Him... and that's a tragedy.
