Giving God the Middle Finger
I'm working on my sermon for Sunday night and I just typed the line, "If you do that you might as well just give God the middle finger."
I can't believe I wrote that! :) I'm going to pray for courage to say it. I think sometimes I mince words from the pulpit. I either hold back or soften points to make them more acceptable. My goal is never to offend. My goal is to bring people closer to Jesus. I think sometimes though using VIVID imagery is the best way to do that.
So come this Sunday night (25 May) and hear what I think constitutes giving God the middle finger.
