A sermon to mess with your theology
Here's the sermon from Sunday.
Some thoughts on Sunday.
(1) It was nice to have the choir back in the morning... and at more than full strength.
(2) It was also great to have Den playing on Sunday night with Beatrice and Marion singing. But we also had Jack and Reggie in the congregation. Two very talented musicians/performers. I wonder what we can do to make people like them feel comfortable and inspired to use their musical gifts in church?
(3) Sunday school year started off well. A bunch of kids. We are looking (and praying) with optimism toward this year with the kids. It's great to have Pastor Len working on these things. I think she's adding a lot. Staff support does matter.
(4) It's always good to reconnect with people I haven't seen in awhile. So it was good to get to chatt with a few folks I haven't really seen since the first week of June. It's taken me two weeks to get back into things.
Sorry. No crazy thoughts or wild happenings yesterday. At least not until Thelma's birthday/retirement party. :)
