Sunday Reflections

Christians Basics to Hold onto in Tough Times. That's the link to the sermon and a hint at the theme.

Here are the highlights.

(1) The morning service was punctuated by the visiting music group Oxygen. They were really wonderful.

(2) The evening worship was highlighted by the Loy Kratong celebration afterwards. About 15 of us wandered over the Lumpini Park, changed the symbolism and lit our Kratongs for Jesus, light of the world, who takes away our sins! It was really fun. I'm waiting for photos.

(3) Great to see a few folks in church I hadn't seen in awhile.

*I'm really looking forward to this coming Sunday. The beginning of Advent means we can officially (without being made fun of) start looking forward to Christmas.

*The sermon series (Skeleton's in Jesus' Family Closet) is going to be off the charts interesting. I promise you will learn something if you attend! Bring a friend or two.

*I'm also looking forward to the Brass Duo in the morning.

*We're also hoping our friend from Sangkhlaburi will be able to join us to talk about the AIDS Ministry we support on the Thai/Burma Border. (will the government let her travel?).

Lots of excitement.

Did you sign up for the Christmas Caroling on the River yet? It's Saturday 18 December from 4:30 to 7pm. Leaving from the Sri Phraya Pier (next to River City). To sign up or for more info - email to Laura Perry.
