Yesterday (Sunday) was completely enjoyable. Here are some of the highlights.
SUNDAY MORNING
(1) The Rob Bell DVD "Lump" was fantastic. Great video. Great discussion. Thanks to all of you who got to church an hour early over the last 5 weeks.
(2) Introduced Rev. Emerlinda Valdez (Pastor Len) as our new Pastoral Associate for Children's Ministry and Connecting and Involvement Ministry. Very excited about this. A huge step of faith for ICB. It's been over 10 years since ICB had a Pastoral Associate.
(3) Indonesian Choir did great. I can't believe Esra tried to tell me he was a beginner. He's really a talented guitarist and I found out on Sunday night that he sings a bit too!!!
(4) The sermon really hit. I love it when it comes together like that.
(5) Great conversations after church. Looking forward to see what God is up to in our congregation. Lots of great energy at the moment.
SUNDAY NIGHT
(1) Really appreciated Esra for playing guitar in the morning and evening. He did a great job.
(2) Also Marion and Beatrice who so often provide great songleading.
(3) Enjoyed meeting Jerm and V after church. Still having a hard time calling a guy Jerm. They run a hostel out of their home in Bali.
(4) Also enjoyed meeting two folks from Singapore who live in BKK. Sorry can't recall your names. But you made me want to drink more coke!!!
(5) As is almost always the case - just a nice relaxed cool vibe to the service.
