What was all the fuss about?

Apparently a large python ate a cat on the street outside our house last night. That would explain the louder and crazier than usual dog barking noises I heard at 4am while watching UNC demolish Radford.

Hopefully the snake wasn't THIS big, but we didn't get to see it because the local "snake removal unit" put it in a truck and took it away before we made it out to see....

On second thought - what kind of snake has to be put in a truck in order to be carried away!!!???? Yikes. It's a good thing we live IN the city and not in a rural area where there are lots of snakes.

Sometimes I feel obligated to make a spiritual application. This might be a stretch but it occurs to me that this snake's appearance where it wasn't expected is a little like the way sin works. It just pops up and devours stuff when you are least expecting it. I guess the OTHER spiritual lesson might be that cats are evil.
